SLUGGER 3GL PERENNIAL RYEGRASS.

 

Slugger 3GL perennial ryegrass is one of the perennial ryegrass seed cultivars in the 2021 NTEP trials. It is one of the best perennial ryegrass for lawns and sports turf, and is from Mountain View Seeds in the USA. Slugger is a dark green perennial ryegrass, with high wear tolerance and selected for exceptional turf quality and superb gray leafspot tolerance.

This turf seed is ideal for use on heavy-use sports fields, golf course tees, and for lawns that demand turf quality as well as disease resistance and exceptional wear tolerance.

DESCRIPTION

Slugger is a dark green perennial ryegrass with a fine leaf texture. Its ability to tolerate a low height of cut, and as a high wear ryegrass, make Slugger an excellent option for establishing professional turf, as well being the best perennial ryegrass seed for lawns and sports turf. Slugger is adapted to the cool-season zone and transition zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

• Golf course fairways, tees, and roughs, sports turf, lawn and landscaping. Ideal for overseeding warm season turf or for turf in shade.
