Aquimax Moisture Aid
Aquimax Moisture Aid is a unique patented co-polymer system, and improves the availability of soil water for turf. Moisture Aid is based on Micro Inversion Technology (MIT). It is the first moisture management system that evenly distributes a water retention polymer to the root zone.
Granular moisture retention polymers have been in use in horticulture for several years. However, their major drawback for turf applications is how to apply them as granules.
Unlike other moisture retention products, this is a liquid not a granule. It is a combination of a soil surfactant plus a long-chain moisture retention polymer. You can use this through any existing irrigation system or apply it through a spray tank..
How Aquimax Works.
Aquimax has a dual mode of action.
- The surfactant ensures uniform water penetration into the soil profile and reduces localised dry spots.
- The polymer retains water in profile. This means water is available to turf for longer and reduces the need for irrigation.

- Retains nutrients and plant-available water for up to 35% longer. This reduces the risk of leaching.
- Improves Volumetric Water Content (VWC) in the root zone by up to 32%.
Trials overseas in couch show:
- Increases in turf quality (NDVI).
- Increases in soil moisture in the soil profile.
- Significantly higher turf cover over a growing season.
The benefits of this product are:
- Aquimax Moisture Aid does not burn, and is very safe to use on turf. This means that you don’t need to worry about any negative impacts on the playing surface.
- It has a very low use rate. It’s very cost effective.
- It improves fertiliser efficiency. This is especially the case on sandy soils.
- Aquimax is very cost effective.
Use rates range from 1-3 L/Ha.
